Interesting side story about The Freedom Sessions. I got it off Amazon when it came out for something like $17 and I think that was a fair price for The Freedom Sessions and the DVD. All I can say is, if you're going to get it, don't pay much. They couldn't find anyone with something substantial to say about this great album? No, that's not it it - they didn't want to PAY someone to do so. These "deluxe editions" have become shadows of what they used to be. The booklet, by the way, is a wasted opportunity - lyrics, pictures, and nothing else. If you need one or the other, then by all means, this is not a bad way to go. Adam's work is excellent but the minimally different remaster is only done to make it a little bit different from the original. If you already own the two albums and the DVD, it is not worth upgrading - you have the definitive version in Greg Calbi's mastering, IMO. It's a barely noticeable remaster by Adam Ayan.
